Feeding Mouths, Empowering Minds
In Partnership with Interfaith Arkansas
We offer more than a hand-out, El Zocalo and Interfaith Arkansas provide food, clothing and household goods, as well as information, resources, education and high quality fresh produce to low income immigrants in need!
Food and Clothing Pantry
Groceries, clothing and household items are offered twice monthly to low income families at our pantry. Bilingual and culturally sensitive staff and volunteers assist immigrant clients.
If you or someone you know needs food, please call us. We also accept donations of gently used clothing and household items during the pantry open hours. Contact us!
Health & Wellness Education
Workshops held at the pantry provide important information to clients. Clients participated in Cooking Matters nutrition classes, fitness and dental care workshops
El Zócalo works to support and improve our clients emotional health through support groups and providing quality information on topics such as to domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and healthy relationships.
Health Care Access
El Zócalo works to connect our clients to health care in the community and invites practitioners to deliver basic health screenings to food pantry clients.
El Zocalo partners with community gardens to source fresh, locally produced fruits and vegetables to clients. We currently partner with the 12th and Oak St. Community Garden.
