We’re Hiring Our Next Executive Director
Friends, partners, supporters,
We are celebrating years of service Kelsey Lam has given to El Zocalo Immigrant Resource Center and the immigrant community in Arkansas.
Kelsey is transitioning out of her role as Executive Director and the organization is looking for the right person to lead the organization. Here you will find a job description.
We know that many of you will want to celebrate along with us the contribution Kelsey has made to the lives of hundreds of Arkansans who are also immigrants. We are so thankful that she has given so much of her creative energy and deep compassion to this work. The organization has thrived under her leadership, such as the highlights below.
- Developing a truly comprehensive set of programs and services that impact immigrants’ lives in a holistic, culturally relevant, and supportive way in the deeply needed areas of health, emotional health, economic stability, education and protection.
- Building a team of compassionate and highly skilled immigrant advocates and service providers, contributing their time, energy, and often lived experiences as members of our local immigrant community to our work.
- Growing the scope of our programs from dozens to hundreds to sometimes thousands of clients served.
Kelsey also expresses all her gratitude for the many relationships she’s made in her time and feels her life has been enriched every day by relationships with our clients and community.
We have more to do as we continue the work of “building a dignified life for immigrants in Arkansas.” You can support us in this transition financially by donating here .
If you are unable to donate you can still celebrate with us by leaving a note for Kelsey by replying to this email or leaving a note on our Facebook page. Kelsey will help see us through this transition and remain a part of the extended Zócalo family. We will miss her particular leadership within our organization. She is irreplaceable and we know that there is another candidate out there who can build on the strong foundations she has provided.
With dedication, hope and optimism to continue our mission and work towards a dignified life for all our immigrant neighbors,
